Job Description
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform moderately complex balance sheet reconciliation activities, focusing on Indirect Tax Accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and review of the assigned account reconciliations.
- Timely and accurate reporting of reconciling items for correction and adjustments with Tax Returns.
- Timely and accurate reporting of aged reconciliation variances to assist with corrections in the general ledger.
- Analyze data to resolve reconciling items and variances and to address queries on accounts movements.
- Ensure reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policies, audit procedures and regulations.
- Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the manager or stakeholders for timely resolution.
- Document and update the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
- Perform moderate to complex tasks in compliance with service level agreement, process, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute in various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity.
- Assist in audit-related activities.
- Document reconciliations using specific tools as Blackline.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Power Point, etc)
- Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and intern controls
- Experience with Indirect Tax Compliance is an advantage
- Experience working withOracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage
